Looks like there is barely enough room right under the wiper fluid bag, I could probably use 3 screws since there is a hole on the fender apron at one corner.

I think I could probably paint it pretty easily with a brush. It would look so much better if it was black...

Also, do I need a different coil or will the yellow-top I have work fine?

I recently mounted mine in front of passenger side strut tower. Unfortunately this is pretty much in plain view. I must have spent 3 hours looking for a suitable location before settling there. It's rather silly to think about now, but I was trying to avoid having to extend any of the wires.

I also considered mounting it under the battery tray, which you may want to look into. I imagine air flow is sufficient there.

Good luck.

It really didn't look like there was enough room to mount it under the battery tray. With a 65, I have a battery tray support that comes out of the passenger side fender apron, so that takes up a good chunk of hidden space.

I have always gone to great lenghts to AVOID distributors/ignitions that use a box because I don't like the boxes and the associated mess of wires.

No offense to people who like em, I just don't...
