Default 9in rear end

I have a lead on a Versailles rear end complete with disc brakes. What is the going rate for these? He wants 400-450. It sounds like a deal to me since I am looking at a 9in with 28 spline axles but no 3rd member for 50 bucks. So I would have to have it narrowed, find disk brakes, and find the third member.

Sounds a bit steep to me but they are becoming scarce. I would say do it. As the guy what his bottom dollar figure would be.

Thats the cool part about the Versailles rear end. You don't have to narrow it. I have one in my 65 and it fits great. That is about the going rate for a Versailles rear, because they are pretty rare. The only bad thing about them is the gear ratio is 2.50 to 2.70. I paid about that much for mine and then rebuilt it with better gears and a traction lock.
