Which Rear Valence
I'm in the process of taking all the old paint off of my 65 and found the rear valence not worth keeping. I'm trying to decide between the one that has the exhaust holes or without. How about a little pro and con to confuse me further or push me in one direction. The car is more then 50% modified from stock.
I'm having a awful time getting this paint stripped off. There must be 6 coats of paint on it. I have been using the aircraft stripper (Stinky Mess) and some sanding. My compressor does not have the pop to run an air sander. Is there an electric disc sander that might get the job done with a little less pain?

I love the GT exhaust trumpets on 65-66, but it's all personal preference. I wouldn't worry about it altering the value of the car.
You'll also have to decide if you want one with or without reverse lights, as they were an option in '65.

Are you planning to do up the exhaust system yourself or are you going to farm that job out? Either way, keep in mind that an exhaust system that doesn't follow the stock routing, or isn't at least hung from the stock chassis locations may expand differently than stock as it comes up to operating temperature. Larger tubing will reduce the clearances where it passes through the valance.
