Default Front drum vibration

Completely replaced the drum brakes all around on my 64.5 convertible-new drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, hardware, master cylinder. I now have a bad vibration upon applying the brakes that I can feel through the brake pedal. What is wrong? The vibration seems to come from the front. Could it need wheel bearings?

Sounds like a warped drum, try having them resurfaced (not expensive).

I thought about that, but the drum are new. Guess it would at least, start the process of elimination.

Drum should not be warped when new, they should replace it, otherwise you'll wind up with a cut drum, which you could have done to your old ones.

BTW, I have "cheap rotors" from AutoZone on my truck, and they have been perfectly smooth for over 25k miles.

You must not have an older F-150. I swear the rotors warp within one oil change of having them turned. After awhile, you just give up and get used to the shimmy. The Mk VIIIs are pretty hard on rotors, as well...

Mercury Mountaineer. I also have them on a Subaru Outback, same excellent result. Go figure.
