so i got some orginal doors off CL and i started stripping and sanding all the fun stuff,then as i was doing a test fit i noticed that the pass side door has no mirror or mounting holes for a mirror WTF, i thought all mustangs had two mirrors. Iam i wrong?

Nope. The RH mirror was optional. In the early days, Ford even bragged that the LH mirror was standard, not all cars had one then. The optional mach1 and certain BOSS packages came with twin "racing" mirrors, but all other Mustangs required additional payment for RH mirrors.

Yeah the passenger side mirror was optional. I added one to my car because I think it looks better. Thats really all the passenger side mirror is for though is looks. Its not very functional because it is not a lightly wide angle mirror like the cars have had for the last 20-30 years. The ones Im talking about are ones that say objects are closer than they appear.

Most cars even in to the early 90s a passenger side mirror is optional.
