Question Seat re-assembly.. I feel foolish

Ok so I've got my seats upholstered and attempting to reattach the seat back to base and having some issues. Putting the short end on first I can't seem to get the longer arm over the pivot point! I've reversing them also but no go.

Any pointers or tips on how to re-attach the seat back to base.. 67 seats.

Dont feel foolish...

I fought mine for a while

Put the short end on first but do not put it all the way in the hole, just so the arm is over the peg. Then you can put the long arm either all the way onto the peg or just over it, and snap them both in at once, this requires some tweaking, but it was the only way i could seem to fit mine, also some twisting helps to get the long end over.

Thanks.. I used a small block of foam, flat bar and a small pry bar and got them to pop on nicely. I do wonder why Ford ever thought they needed pins to hold them on? They are on though!

I had to use the pry bar method too, kinda scary doing that after newly upholstered seats.
