At the moment i have a C4 automatic with a shiftkit on my 65 mustang. But the tranny has seen beter times. Doesnt always want to go in reverse and shifting also isnt that great anymore.

Think my current motor had ruined it .

But wich transmission i should go for now ? Want to have more performance and would like switch to manuel. Have looked for a T5 but dont really now if it can handle my engine.

331 stroker
Trickflow heads
Edelbrock RPM intake
Ford motorsport camshaft
Hedman headers
Paxton supercharger with improved impeller
Holley QFT 650cfm carb
MSD 6BTM
MSD Dizzy
Lightweight pulley setup

Dont know what the exact HP or torque is but wich gearbox is should take ? Dont know if the T5 is strong enough for it..

And are there complete conversions for manuel ? I live in the netherlands so shipping is expensive, so it would be nice to buy everything in one time

 

Unless you beat the pee out of it, the T5 will work fine for you. If you are tough on transmissions, or weekend race the car, get a toploader 4-speed.
