Leaf spring snag
So I got my leaf springs off, but on the rear shackle there is the rubber bushings and a metal piece inside them, i got the metal out, but i cant get the bushings out of that metal tube thing, what suggestions can you give me?
oh man, i feel your pain here. when i did my leafs this was the single biggest headache of the whole job. i thought i could get the whole job done in one afternoon, but after 2 hours and much cussing i gave up on the rubber in the upper tube, i was so pissed.
the next day when i went back to it, i still was not making much headway. went back into the house, grabbed a steak knife and started sawing away, and after another hour or so i had them both out.
i dont have much advice other than just to keep at it, it will give eventually.

i was trying to find the easiest way lol. everything seems to be really difficult...I did manage to get them and get the new ones on. ride sits about 5-6 inches higher now, thanks guys....
Thinking about tackling the front springs when i finish this pizza here, anything i should know...
EDIT: Also, would anyone happen to know the torque numbers for the U-bolts?
