Default Winter Preparations!

Quick and easy question: What company(ies) would you guys recommend I go with when I replace the rear window seal on my 1969 mustang coupe? It leaks water when it rains, and it will continue to be driven in the rain. Previous good experience with any companies? Also, tips, tricks, and hints are appreciated too! Thanks as always

THUMPIN455, Would you PLEASE Photoshop some bumpers on that Cougar.

Anyway, on to the original question. I am not sure who you would use to replace the seal. I don't think glass companies do that. I am thinking maybe a new car dealership?

Any glass shop should be able to do it.

How about I just put them on and take another pic?

Also pretty much any glass shop should be able to replace the seal, not a big thing.

do it yourself, its not that hard of a process

you just need a new seal, some window sealant and a piece of 1/4-3/8" diameter rope thats as long as the perimeter of the gasket

take old window out, clean off glass and metal, put new seal on glass with a little sealant all around it. Insert rope into the groove that the body panel will fill. Have the rope end in the middle top or bottom of the glass. Have someone push on the outside while you pull the rope up and out. Viola! new seal on your glass.
