Even if they were the best lights out there, they still just look strange on a classic car...

If you already have relays then I think upgrading to a 55/60 or 55/65 etc bulb will give you a noticable increase in lighting over the regular halogen.

You could try that Hella setup. I have heard good things about it from other people.

Mine came from reenmachine.com with the relays i did have to cut the headlight bowl a tiny bit to get them to fit good.Look under images on this http://www.reenmachine.com/shop/prod...6&cat=0&page=1 you will see how much you have to cut.

The H4s are not DOT approved. The Hella H4 housings say 'off-road only' so in some states you may not pass inspection (or so I have read). The best bet might be to buy the HB-2 lights and put H4 bulbs in them if you want them brighter (the H4 bulbs fit the housings).

I found it. It is called the:
1. Vision Plus 5-3/4" High/Low Beam Conversion Headlamp Kit (ECE/CAN) (H4) (Part number 002850811)
2. Vision Plus 5-3/4" High Beam Conversion Headlamp Kit (ECE/CAN) (H1) (Part number 002425811)

Ideal for:
• Retrofitting older sealed beam headlights to newer
Halogen replaceable bulbs

Features:
• Based on European headlamp technology
• Brighter than a standard halogen due to improved
optics without increased glare
• Produces 50% more powerful beam on low beam
• Produces 25% more powerful beam on high beam
• Replaces 4000, 4040, 5506, H5006, H5006, H5006LL,
H5009 sealed beam bulbs

Apparently the Xenon H4s are high wattage (100/80) and are not DOT approved BUT the Halogen H4s are. I wonder why the Xenon H4 is so much higher power than the Halogen version but the Xenon H1 (high beam) is the same as the Halogen version.

The xenons i use are DOT approved and they require no cutting and no wiring changes. I got mine from NPD.

i bought the xenons and took out the xenon bulbs and replaced them with H4 HID's and they are great, the xenons need you to upgrade the wiring harness so you wont get their true potential until you do that. the HID comes with ballasts and an harness that draws directly from the battery

Damn those LEDs look weird! I'm going with one of these...someday...

Yeah, they require cutting some metal, but...Bi-xenon HIDs FTW!!!
