Default Need source for GOOD window moulding!

I am looking for a GOOD source for front and rear window moulding. I am trying to think if I got mine from CJ's or Mustangs Unlimited but let me tell you, the stuff simply is very poor quality to where it's not even useful. There is no way I can make what I bought work.

Anyone have any success out there and if so....WHERE?

Thanks!

Strange, I've done a couple of these in the last few weeks and they went on pretty easily, with no dings or dents. I did have to tweak them a bit to get a good fit, but only a few minutes worth.

You could polish up used originals. If yours are missing, I could tell you who to call.

NPD has good quality trim and rubber.

They don't make them, you know. The trim is Dynacorn/Corvex, and the rubber, if it's good, is Carpenter. Lots of places have these.

I don't think NPD makes a single product.

I am using their front window trim and it fits nice, looks good, and is strong enough. Just dont hammer on it and you'll be fine

Thank you. 2+2 - can you PM me on who to call?

Also, I'll check out NPD. I got mine from Mustangs Plus and I'm telling you, nothing is even close to lining up.

What was done prior to needing the molding? Has the rubber been replaced?

By the way is that your 66 in your avatar?

Yes, that is my '66 in my avatar fresh out of paint. Wiring, engine, etc starts going in this weekend, which is why you see the stance as it is.

In regards to what has been done on the glass area, all new glass and rubber gaskets. I just now need some good quality stainless trim around the front and rear. The moulding from M+ is so out of whack can't be tweaked enough.

One lesson this thing has taught me... NOS or used original parts! Nothing made today even comes close to original parts. We went to install new Dynacorn rear quarter windows last week and they are unusable. With the base panel kicked out right to the quarter skin I can still fit my fist between the window and roof line. They do not have the same curve going up! Took the Dynacorn vent frames and compared them to the badly pitted originals and you could see the difference from 20 feet away. Just shipped out the originals for rechroming.. should have just done this in the first place.

The outer door window rubbers (from NPD) are fine.. on the drivers side! Holding them side by side the passengers side rubber is over an 1/8" wider. This doesn't sound like much but it creates enough drag that the window pulls the back clips right out of the door.

Today we're forced into reproduction parts for the most part and fuzzys/rubbers are unavoidable. However in regards to stainless and chrome parts.. either keep your originals or look on ebay (and a few other places) for originals and simply spend the time polishing or have them rechromed.
