Default Here's a puzzling hazard light problem

I have power to the flasher and in turn the safety flasher switch, but when I flip the switch they lights don't work. Only when I use the turn signal switch left or right will both work. They are sequential LED taillights and they both work.
Even before installing them about a month and half ago, the hazard lights wouldn't work. I didn't try the turn signal switch in tandem back them. I just assumed that it was a bad switch at the time.
Any idea's? I have the schematic and I see that three of the wires from the switch head over to the steering column and the turn signal switch. Hmmmmmm.
Has me puzzled.
