Default Trans trouble

Everything is done on my 68' mustang...and after driving it for the first time the trans is screwy. It's a rebuilt AODE with a baumanator made for racing and the trans feels fine for a bit but then it feels like it's losing pressure. What do you think could cause it to work and than fail and then work again?

If this one is trash, what other 4 speed auto could I over night to get my car running this week? C4's are 3 speeds right?

C4 is a three speed. also im figuring that your AODE is out of warranty. i would of liked a AODE when mine failed but couldnt afford it so i had the original rebuilt by a local shop with a shift improvement kit installed, $470.00 total, 18 month warranty.
