Default Coilovers for a '67

I haven't been focusing on my Mustang at all this last year. I am getting back into it though. I was looking for coilovers before and really the only ones out there were the Total Control ones but they want about $1000 per side. I am just looking for the fronts as I have QA1, single adjustable shocks in the rear along with 4 1/2 leafs. I have purchased the Global West front upper and lower A arms that mount the shock and spring in the stock location. Anyone using any different coil overs than the TCP ones? I am not interested in coilovers that mount to the lower A arm as I am already invested in the Global West setup.

Thanks.

Why bother with coilovers, then? One of the main advantages of a front coilover setup is the added spring leverage on the lower control arm, allowing you to run a softer, lighter spring for better ride quality and responsiveness without sacrificing handling ability.

Just run good springs and shocks and you'll be fine.

I have a coil over setup from global west. You should see if their "Neg Roll Coil Over system" is compatible with the Uppers & Lowers you purchased from them. It should just be a new upper mounting bracket if I remember correctly.

The ones that bolt to the upper a arms do nothing more then a stock spring but are adjustable. The ones that go to the lower a arm do work better you have more travel and better ride on nasty roads. If you want a cheap way http://www.opentrackerracingproducts.com/products/ Progressive rate springs work good and there 200 bucks roller spring perches are another 200 throw in some good shocks and your set.

If you already have Global West arms, then just get good shocks and springs and be done. Like was stated, the primary advantage of the front coilover setup is by mounting them to the LCA and increasing leverage. You get the same performance as a heavier spring, but with the ride quality of a lighter spring. Just put some 620 springs and decent shocks on and call it a day.
