Well...ok, but the oil drains are right at the front and rear edge of the head. If you blow out the head gasket on the front or rear cylinder, it will push the oil out as the gasses look for an exit. This would also explain the "no coolant in the cylinders". If the intake fails, it will either be sucked into a cylinder or it will just dribble down the front or back of the motor since there is no pressure there.

Well, yea, if a head gasket were to blow in the extreme front or rear next to to the oil drain back holes....

but, do you suppose a head gasket would EVER blow there? I don't think it would ever happen without catastrophic engine failure of a spectacular nature.

Weird stuff happens, that said, I guess it may be possible to loose massive amounts of oil through a blown head gasket on a SBF, I just can't think of how at the moment, but I am a dumb *** though.....

Is the oil coming from around the cylinder that sounds like it is not working?

Don't give it a second thought,,,,, I put my foot in my mouth on a daily basis...

I just did not want to see a person pulling their heads off to fix a simpler issue!
