Export Brace Question
I've seen one piece and two piece export braces on 67 Mustangs with 390s. Does anyone know if all 390s or only certain option groups received the one piece export brace? And if only some did, which ones? I have a 390 convertible GTA that seems pretty original, Marti report verifies its a GTA, but again I've noticed cars with & without the one piece export brace and I'm curious why.

Intersting info. I could see owners and shops adding this, but are you saying it was also used by the factory for performance option groups?
The two piece cowl braces are the standard setup, not an "export". The export brace is just that, a far stronger one-piece item installed on exported Mustangs, but owing to it's much greater strength, was widely used as a performance upgrade, and was installed in all Shelby Mustangs.
