Default Exhaust tips

What kind of exhaust tips do you guys have on your rides and where did you get them?

I went to our local parts shop and all the tips they have look like they belong on an import. Most of the ones they had were the rolled tip. They told me to give them a part number for something I like and they could order it. I'm looking for something chrome/stainless steel, slanted, with a non rolled edge. I checked on jegs and summit but didn't come up with much.

Anyone know where online I can find something like this or a manufacturer that has a part number the shop can order?

I just got a turn-down style chrome tip from Schucks Auto Supply that was the SAME size as my tailpipe (1 3/4").

Call me crazy, but I use the factory stainless tips- the ones that can cut you if you get too close. Something about the way it's cut reminds me of the older tips.

Pepboys has tips very similar to the origional 71 Mach1 "baloney slice".
They have stayed on with screws so far.

The factory tips for 67-69 had rolled edges. Well, the 70 did, too, but it was a different style. The cheap repros are cut. You won't find anything at Summit, etc., that works.

This is a 68 Shelby, but it had the same tips as the 67-69 Mustang:

NPD has what you might be interested in, catalog page #124, PN-5255-7. $27.50.
The rolled edge tip is PN-5255-7A, $ 89.95

Here is what I have. The tips are the angle/slash cut. These are 3 inch chromed stainless. I got them on Ebay for 30 bucks. I have 2.5 inch exhaust. I agree about the rolled lip. I don't like many of those tips either. I do like those 67-68 tips that are pictured above especially if you have the valance for them.

Which tips are you referring to, the GT trumpet tips?
