I wouldn't say there are no fitment issues. I would recommend fitting all hardware, such as door handles, vent windows, etc., before painting. However, the contours, etc, are, with some blocking and sanding, what they come with, including fit at the edges. The photos are from Glazier Nolan, of cars they have in their own shop for restoration, the doors are the ones they sell in their catalog. They are completely up front, and if you want to use the doors, they can tell you exactly what to look for when fitting the doors, so you can avoid problems when using them. That's a nice advantage to using a parts supplier who's been restoring Mustangs for 35 years.

The repro doors are not the same. They are flimsier and twist easier. I bought the repro doors, had them fitted and painted. Once I got the glass and latches on, it changed fit on me. I bought originals off of craigslist. Granted, they need a little work, and now re-painted, damn, but I have original doors and they are different. Just like any replacement sheetmetal vs. original, it is not the same. Some may get it to fit ok, but the metal and all the little things, like holes for the latch, some were missing on one door and had to be drilled out. Crap repro stuff. Go with original if at all possible.

I have not seen this to be the case with the repro doors on my car. Not all repro doors are the same.
