I broke a set of pliers too, the little cheap ones that came in the upholstry set.. Do the seats yourself! They really arent that bad. I did mine too.

1. electric turkey carver also works great for cutting/shaping foam

2. Check if the new upholstery comes with the metal rods that you hook the hog rings around. I did mine a dozen years ago and had to remove and reuse the old rods.
