Default Koni shocks?

I just received my new Koni front shocks in the mail but I am wondering if they are the right ones. They are red and have a silver sticker toward the bottom that has the new style Koni logo with a part number of 82 1388SP3 and below that is another number 27-2009.

I am curious because the only ones I have ever seen for a 65 Mustang are more of an orange color and have the old Koni classics sticker on them about half way up the shock.

Can anyone verify that these are the right shocks for me? Thanks.

Here is the shocks I just received:

Yeesh, I think they may need more weld at the bottom. That area looks kind of brittle...

I thought the same thing, but if anything happens they are covered under the lifetime warranty.

Anybody know if these are the right ones? Thanks!

Tad, here are some shots of the new Koni against the old KYB. The Koni looks like a beast compared to the KYB.

lol piraya, I was joking I've never seen a shock that beefy at the bottom. The studs will break before the welds do.

i have adjustable Konis in the front and I absolutely love them. the front springs and shocks was the first thing I ever changed on this car as it was bottoming out on all the potholes in this country ;-)
in the back I went for gasajust because I was running out of money and as soon as I win the lotto or something I'm going to swap them as well

I have KYB gas adjust on all 4 corners. I think that for the money they do the job very well. It would be great to have something a tad smoother but still performance oriented. Mine are almost brand new, and I don't plan on changing them real soon, but it could be something to put on my list.
