Wiper holes in cowl..
Is there anything besides the Pivot Shaft to Cowl Seal used on the 67? I washed the car the other day and found that the floor carpets by the kick panels were wet. Not a huge flood but enough to soak through the carpet in a 3"x8" area. Both sides.
The entire cowl was replaced and fully sealed.. upper cowl vents were covered and smoothed, drivers fresh air vent removed and sealed with a plate as was the passenger side heat/a/c vent opening. Both of these were sealed with a generous amount of sealant.. GOOP I think was what I used.
The only place water can get in is around the wiper holes which got new seals before going back in.

With all those opening sealed up, and the edges completely sealed, re-check the wiper pivot holes. Maybe the seal it tweaked, but I know it could be a pita to get to those screws. Spray water at the cowl area and see if you can see where the water may be entering.

I'll have to crawl under the dash with a flashlight and have someone use the hose lightly to see where its coming in from. Have to wait until Wed as I dropped the car off this morning at the paint shop. Gonna blow in a few areas and then final sand & buffing.

I have a 67 F/B. I had a leak that wet the PASSENGER"S side kick panel---FAR away from the wiper pivot hole on that side. Finally found it--whoever replaced the radio antennae didn't replace the grommet where the antennae wire enters the passenger compartment. Replaced grommet; fixed leak!!!
Now the driver's side is another story. If you sealed everything, the only things left are the windshield (common), the wiper pivot hole or the seam under the top of the front fender (where the cowl, firewall and inner fender come together). There's a pretty good sized pinch weld there, which was waterproofed at the factory using seam sealer. If the seam sealer is original, that could be the problem. If the wiper pivot seals are in properly, then I'd look at the windshield as the culprit.
Hope that helps,
