Periods?

Did you leave the headlights on?

Push the shifter (automatic) all the way into the "P," and make sure it clicks. The cars have a safety feature that wont let you turn the car on without it in park. Sometimes it can be in park, but the switch doesnt engage.

Sounds to me that your charging system isn’t working and it is draining your battery. Take the alternator to an auto parts place and they can see if it is putting out the required voltage. If it is, than the regulator is crap.

For about $30 you can get a remanufactured Alternator from most any parts store.

It's easyer and quicker than trying to rebuild it yourself.

Take it to the alternator shop. The ones you get from a part store are junk.

Well, Has anyone thought that something on the car is draining the battery? By what he said, the battery is draining without the car running. It could be an alternator, but i would also look for something else draining the battery.
