I had a problem one time where my battery was getting drained while not running. After many frustrating hours, I found that the glove box light switch wasn't turning off the light. I think I would use a multi meter and find the short (leak) that is causing the battery to go dead.

 

crap yea this is getting frustrating cause is my alternator hooked up wrong maybe? cuase my battery is being drained while off nad i just bought a new alt and battery and within 2 days the car is dead i beeter start searching for little light bulbs that are on? or is alt no charging cause in the dash the alternator gauge is in the middle like charged or dischared i think and the needle doesnt move and is straight in the middle
