Default 65 Manual Steering?

I am trying to put all of my steering back together but I am having a little trouble remembering what went where.

Where the center-link attaches to the pitman arm, is there supposed to be a rubber boot (for grease) or something between the center-link and the pitman arm? I put it on with nothing between it, but it just looks like there is too much space between them. Thanks everyone!

There is supposed to be a rubber seal in there, C4ZA-3A196-A, millions were used from early early 60's to late 70's, but strangely was never sold as a service part. Aftermarket steering parts come with a foam donut for this.

This is a Toyota pitman, but the seal looks the same. A similar Mopar seal is available for $25, and the Camaro for about half that

Thanks. I had an extra rubber boot from my inner tie rods lying around so I just used that in there and it seems to be good. I talked to John from Opentracker and he said it is mainly to just keep crud out of there. He said the dust boot will be fine.

That's all the original seal was, it didn't crimp on or anything.
