1969 coupe build
looks like you are doing it right and getting after all the rust. When you finish, you will have a great car that is even cooler because you did all the work yourself! As a 69 coupe owner, I am looking forward to seeing the finished product. Mine has a 390 and is no slouch but your built up motor will probably be a real hp monster. Re tires, if your coupe is like mine, you can fit 275x15" and still keep the rubber under top center wheel well. I think I could have fitted 295x15" under there if I had a bit more offset on the wheels.

yea i slid those 10.5s under my car and they fit pretty good i think i could have a bit wider but it would be pushing it. what are the specs for your rims? like backspacing and offset wise?
airflow research heads #1458
http://www.airflowresearch.com/index.php?cPath=21_104
intake will be victor jr or performer rpm air gap intake
my machine shop recommended me this cam
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CCA-35-426-8/
i also sent a build sheet to jay at camshaft innovations for a custom grind.
im gonna put a tko600 5 speed tranny behind it. i havent figured out what else im gonna use as far as accessories, electrical and the such.
oh yea the pistons are flat top with 5cc valve reliefs, with the 72cc combustion chamber it gives me a 10.5:1 compression ratio.

That sounds very similar to what I had in mind. That is the same cam I was considering. Also the same heads except in the 58cc chamber which with the piston I want to use should give me about 10.7:1 cr. Im still juggling around intake ideas. Wanted a dual plane but now leaning towards a single plane : / But thanks for the info! Cars lookin good and keep us updated with lots of pictures.
