Are these the bolts the side will fit onto?
Yes, those are the bolts. The bars use the three existing bolts on each side but then you have to add one additional.

Have fun getting it to fit. We got mine in finally but we are having a terrible time with the one piece export brace....dam thing is a good inch off and not sure what's up with that.

I think he would have to go and purchase a new 1 since he has already cut it to fit a 67/68...but a straight bar is tha way to go.. Good luck!

Yep. straight bar is the way to go, although I know a curved bar will fit because we had one on originally. Maybe a slightly shorter belt for the a/c would make the curved one fit.. .

The best way to get the one piece export brace in is to support the car from the center (pan if you can) and let the body sag....it will pull the shock towers out away from the center slightly, allowing the brace to go in easier. It also helps if you can put a ratchet strap across the brace to pull it together slightly. Put it in without the shock tower tops on so you can access the center. Once it's in, release the strap. This will hold the bolts in place so you can put the shock towers back on.
