Default Interior?

I just dropped my car off at the interior shop to have the new seat foams, upholstery, dynamat, headliner, package tray, and dash pad done. I bought all the parts and took it to my local interior guy to have him do everything. Does $500 labor sound right for all of this work? Thanks!

Seems like a good deal. Just to do a headliner is around $250 plus. They are taking the windshields out right? Are you supplying the stuff or are they?

I am paying a windshield guy $80 to pull the front glass and re-install it after the headliner is done.

I am supplying all the parts, the interior shop is just installing everything. When they broke the price down for me they said $150 for headliner labor and $350 for labor on everything else. I thought it was a good price and I trust the guys because they work in the same business plaza as my parents' shop. I have seen them do quite a few old cars and I haven't heard anything bad about them before.

You really need to pull the rear glass as well.

Price? IMHO, you are getting a steal.

Why do I need to have the rear glass pulled?

The headliner gets wrapped around the front and rear window area. Its actually glued in outside the cabin of the car between the glass and roof body. Check out your Ford Service Manual for detailed instructions. Headliner is installed first then the front and rear glass go back in.

Ok, I went back to the interior shop and dropped off a new rear windshield rubber and new trim clips for the front and rear windshields. I told them to have their guy pull the rear glass too and they said no problem. The glass guy is coming today so I should have my car back toward the end of next week. I can't wait to get it back. I went with the TMI sport seat foam with the built-in bolsters so I am anxious to see how comfortable they are.
