The car is all preped and put back together awaiting paint for next week. Still have a couple things I need to take care of like like letter panel but besides that the band of silver which is my stripes will go on tomarrow. Them on tuesday I am going to mask the stripes off and put on the base coat. Here are some pics I took yesterday:

 

Exciting times! If you put some washers on the bolts for the valances and fender extensions to space them from the body you'll get nice clean joint. Kind of a pain to do but it worked nice on mine.
Looking forward to the next set of pics.

 

Can't wait to see the pics of it painted. I'm guessing you'll fit the stripes then dismantle the front clip and paint the fenders, valance, etc separately correct?

sanded they always look awful crooket :-) nice work though. must have taken forever.
check out CPRs post, he has the CID at the back of the bonnet (inside on the bonnet frame) ... actually in your language: "hood". maybe you like it too

 

That looks awesome can't wait to see the paint on it. I can't remember what color you decided on, was it the Legend Lime with white stripes?

 

a snuggle bright red with white go faster stripes. he has a pic from a GT40 part with that paint in a previous post

 

It's a darkish metallic red with silver stripes.
