Default Fiberglass Vs. Current

Hello all....

I just bought a 68 mustang and I plan on restoring. Its in pretty good shape. Just some minor interior.

My question is this..... Is it better to upgrade to fiberglass? Are people doing this because the old parts are rusted or because of the weight of the vehicle. I'm just a novice but a fast learner.

Thanks for any info..

No point going to fiberglass if there is nothing wrong with what you've got unless you plan on racing the car and need to shave some weight or want to get a hood with a scoop on it or something like that.

The best fitting Shelby fiberglass is http://www.cobranda.com/index.html My car i have some fiberglass parts shelby trunk and tail lights but i rather have metal tho.But some parts are only in fiberglass so your stuck using them.
