Ron, our good friend and painter, took a few more pictures today of Mike's GT-500 and if you like the colors now just wait until the sun comes out!

I love this one of the trunk lid:

And here is the car that inspired Mike's color choices of red and silver (that's my old Daytona Coupe in the background):

Thanks! For those of you asking I did follow the shelby taperd instruction but I think I narrowed the stripe very slightly so that the stripe wouldn't run into the louvers because then they wouldn"t look very good having all those different lines clash. This way the louvers are slightly less noticable. Everyone that has looked at my car so far has told me one thing. The wheels need to go. I have to change them anyway because they rub against the inside of the fender. I was thinking about going with the '68 Shelby 10 spokes but in a '17 inch.

Looks great!!
I still can't get past anything larger then a 15" on the classics, anything bigger then a 15" wheel and it starts to look like a Hot Wheels car IMO.

I agree with this. I won't go bigger than 15 on mine. I think 16 inch wheels look alright on some applications.

Just as long as its not bigger than 17 inch. Thats when it looks rediculous.

To each their own though.
