The Mustang in question is this one.
"302, 1968 Mustang coupe. rebuilt transmission, rebuilt engine, rebuilt carberator, new gas tank, timing chain and water pump. I recently had a new radiator (although there is a small leak somewhere, more than likely it is just hose) put in and the ball joints replaced. The car does need some TLC, but they are all minor repairs if anything. As far as the body goes, there was a dent on the passenger side that was knocked out, it just needs to be painted over. Plus there is a minor dent in the trunk, As I am not a mechanic, I not real good with all the specs. I have been driving it to and from work for the last 5 years and it has run great! Come by and look under the hood for yourself. "
they're asking $4500, I meet with them tommorow. I don't know how to price classic mustang. I figure i'm going to end up repainting this car, and changing the interior. HELP!

$1500-1800 Tops. Understand when someone does not post a listing with CLEAR pictures THERE ARE MAJOR PROBLEMS.
Go look at the car your self. Im sure its a POS in need of more then TLC. Some people feel just because they have a classic mustang its automatically worth 5k this day in age.
Ask to see paperwork for the rebuild as well.

It didnt look THAT bad to me. If you want a 68 mustang and you like that body style this one might not be too bad...
Its gonna need a new trunk lid or extensive work on the existing lid....Rust is the real issue depending on how long its lived in vegas that might be a plus and it is drivable so thats a plus.... offer him 3,200 and see what happens after you inspect if for deal breakers like rust/frame/ more dent issues.
Good Luck

If, as said above, the frame, floors, and cowl are solid and the body seems good then it seems like a good deal. It is a western J code car with the GT style wheels and factory air conditioning, which is worth a ton of money in just vents and parts, and it runs and drives. If I was in the area and looking, I would definitely take a look at it. Go check it out and see if you can get some more detailed pictures for us and let us know how it turns out.
