Keyless Entry in '66 Mustang
I added them to my alarm and paid about $50 for actuators and relays. Car audio shops have them and can easily install them also. They charge around $75 -100 per door.

"The hardest part is finding and bending the right angle for the new actuator rod."
is so incredibly true its not funny. The rods included with the kits are straight but you'll NEED to bend and contort them from the actuator to the locking rod in each door. Really look at his pictures.. the 4th and last pic in his 1st post.
Was a different install for the 67/68 doors since they are different enough his pictures do not help.
I have electronic actuators hooked up to my Viper Alarm. I just wired the actuators into the Viper Alarm box, I click the Viper key fob to lock/alarm and unlock/disarm the alarm.
Like said above, installing the actuators and adjusting them was time consuming and a little frustrating, but I'm pleased with the outcome.

I'm looking at doing this on my car. My mechanic has a company he can now use (after SEMA) that has several options and not that bad in price.
Oh and Tim don't get to see you often enough on the site. Love your car.

I used these guys. Great service on alarm installation questions and the fob opens the doors and electric trunk latch. I bought a vintage switch for the electric door locks and installed in my "humphugger" console.

Has anyone tried to convert a classic mustang key
to the new "switchblade" style keys?
I'm wondering if this Key Only Application can be
converted to work with a vintage style key cut
and my Viper Alarm? Convert the trunk lock key to match my door/ignition keys, so
you only need one key. Also, I can buy a
kit for my automatic garage door opener to
operate off of the accessory button on my Viper
key fob.
I think it would be cool to have a small switch
blade key fob, that works on all locks of the car,
locks/alarms and unlocks/disarms and will open my
garage door!
