Default looking at a 351w block

im looking at a 351w block that i want to buy off of craigslist...its a 1974 block...when i go to look at it what should the casting code be? and also, were all 351w blocks 4 bolt mains? thanks guys

no. not all were 4 bolt motors. i beleive not many were

No factory Windsor blocks were 4 bolt mains. If it's a 351 with 4 bolt mains it would be a Cleveland Boss block and worth big bucks.

Yes, but those aren't factory. Sportsman blocks are made by Dart. And they are VERY expensive. Mine cost me $1800 for a bare block. The only factory Windsor style 4 bolt main blocks were the 69-70 Boss 302 blocks and the new Boss 302 and 351W blocks that FRPP is now making.

im pretty sure that ford performace built a 351w sportsman block that was a 4 bolt
