That's why I like this site! Anywhere else, I'd be bar-b-qued by all the flames right now! You guys have good taste!

Maybe they sectioned the front end? The lack of door handles and mirrors takes too much away... some cars you can get away with it, I don't think so on this one.

Count me with the bezels group. In my opinion these resto mods ruin cars that are 40 or pushing 40 and harder to come by, kind of like the30s fords in the 70s. As for a different color panel, I painted mine matte black on a white body makes good contrast. I'm thinking of the tail light panel moulding that covers the whole thing.

Default West coast thing???

I'm wondering if it's not a California thing? I like the looks of that car. Ultra clean, Raked down in the front. All the classic lines are kept intact. Yep, I do agree the wheels are too big, but only buy a couple of inches. 17's on back and 16's up front with 55 series, and 40 series respectively.
Maybe it's just such a nice job on the body. Evey panel line is perfect. Of course without mirrors, it's just another trailer queen, too bad, it would look way cool under the lights on the blvd.
