you will probably want to install subframe connectors and still use an engine bay brace that goes from the firewall to fender aprons to radiator support area. If you do these things I imagine the car would be fine.

If you are going to modify the shock towers so they are unusable, you might as well simply get rid of them all together for more room. Keeping them in but notching them does look kind of nice, but it's not very efficient.

They are so new that they haven't posted the photos on their site, but I have seen their dealer circular, and the top is just big enough to mount the export brace, and below that it notches out dramatically, to clear just about any engine combination you'd want.
