Hi guys. I picked up a set of Scott Drake mirrors from Dallas Mustang.
They came yesterday with no instructions, which were easy enough to find, but there isn't a template for either the mounting of the remote mirror, which is replacing a standard mirror or the remote control inside.
There is supposed to be a template for the control that mounts on the door panel and where to drill the hole in the door for the cable.
Has anyone installed a set of these before???

 

They should be far enough to the rear to clear the vent windows, when they open, by 1/4", and should have 1/2" of space between the mirror and door glass at all times. Position both before drilling, they are not quite the same and you'll want to check that they match before you drill the holes.

 

Thanks. I was just especially concerned with the hole for the remote cable to pass through and a template would have eased my mind, but I will just take it slow as per your advice and it should go well. I hope.

Was less concerned when cutting GT holes in my rear valance. LOL
