Wiring efi swap.
I have been doing the efi swap longer than expected,(having a baby expected withing 2 weeks, and work) haven't had much time to work on it for a while. About 3 months a go I had it ready, it would turn on but wouldn't turn off. I had to disconnect the battery in order for it to turn off. Removed the wires to recheck everything and then thats when I had this or that to do, except working on the car. About a month ago I got a day to try and get the car up and working since I remember that I had everything on constant thats why ( I think) it wouldn't turn off with the key. After messing with it, it would crank but no spark so it wouldn't start. Going back and forth checking everything I couldn't find anything. Today I got up and pushed the car out of the garage starting rechecking everything and now it wont evey crank. I know the battery is good, I don't even get the interior lights to turn on, they would before. Those of you who have done the efi, where do you wire the old coil wire too? I never had it connected before, just thinking. Any help is appreciated. I am using a 90 5.0 harness, trying to mod it myself since I want to hide all wire possible. Didn't want to spend $500 on a new harness that I would end up cutting and splicing. If I am not able to get it starting by income time then I will just have to get a new harness and not hide much wires.
Can't tell you about the wiring as I went the aftermarket harness route. If you do end up going that direction, at least know that it works great and practically makes the install a no-brainer.
Good luck!
