HELP!
Hey everyone,
I have a 72 Convertible with a 302 in it and I am totally new to restoring. What is the largest engine I can fit in there? Also I need new floors and trunk due to rust, and I know what parts I need for that, but what is the average labor cost? I don't want to get screwed because I am not doing the welding.
Any help is appreciated thanks!!

The 71-73 was designed for the 429, sadly dropped after 71. This is identical to the 460 engine. Big enough?
You are right down the road, so to speak, from Glazier Nolan, who have been doing top-quality restorations for decades. I guarantee they'll charge more than your local body shop. They're worth it. If you partially disassemble the car first, and plan to do your own assembly, they can do just the welding for you. You can see photos of their work, including floor repairs, on their website.

So if I put a 429 in it, what else do I have to change? Trans, rear, etc?? Also what is the website?
Thanks

You have an 8" rear on your 302 car, you'll need a 9". GN can help you with that.
