Default Would these headers fit?

I'm currently running a late model 5.0 motor in my '67 (caburated) and a t-5 with a cable cutch setup. One od the guys from CJ Pony parts said these headers would fit but, I'm not so sure. Is there any way I can be certain?

The guys at cj's are pretty accurate with what they have and what fits what. I have 68 coupe with late model 5.0 w/ gt40p heads on it and they told me if i had the e-7 heads they could set me up but couldnt help because of the gt40p heads. as far as yours goes if your running the stock mustang heads or even the gt40 not the p then you can bet they are on the right track. I would trust them. good luck

Why wouldn't standard Heddman long tubes for a 302 work?

That link is for long tube headers for a 351W. Sure they will bolt to the heads, but I would say that IS NOT what you want. The 351W has a taller deck block than a 302/5.0 and the headers will hang down lower under the car by about an inch because of this. The long tubes already hang low and putting those on will be an invitation for every speed bump in the area to smack the collector. I'm with JamesW. Just get long tubes for a 302. If you get them from Summit, you won't have a problem returning them if they don't fit quite right because Summit has a good return policy. You would only be out the price of shipping.

I can't order the one for a 302 because the 302 and 351W have a different firing order, and the late model 5.0 has the same firing order as the 351W. I would pefer some shorty headders that would give me clearance on the cable clutch and wont break the bank. But, I'm actually on the sumitt site right now looking at those heddman headers. I'm gonna give them a call and see if they have something that would work for my call.
Thanks again James and 109jb

Firing order has nothing to do with long tube header selection, or for that matter any equal length tube header. You see, the headers are made so that the tube length is the same from the exhaust port to the collector for ALL cylinders.
