Default Battery fender apron replacement

How many of you have done this replacement? Does the apron bolt on to the frame and shock tower and radiator support? Or is this something that needs to be cut and welded? My fabrication skills are not that great and I want my engine bay looking somewhat nice.

Welded. It's a structural part of the car.

Yep, welded. Spot welds. That was my first welding project. I think I did more grinding than welding but it turned out fine. It is a great project to build your fabrication skills.
