Default Autometer clock in cluster

I dont know how many of you have clocks in your mustang gauge clusters, but by looking on ebay, theyre running pretty expensive. Well, I found a clock from autometer that fits directly into the cluster with no modifications. It's a 2 1/16" clock : http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...0&autoview=sku

Cool thing is, they send you these blue/green bulb covers for the lights, and they match the instrument cluster lights almost exactly. Cool.

That is cool, but I have a set of triples that I am going to graft up top when I finish my interior. It looks factory tho, good job![8D]

That looks really clean. Was there something in there before? Or did you just do an exceptionally clean job of making that hole?

Either case, great work!!

Scott,

All the 67-68 clusters come with a hole for installing a clock, but unless you payed for it at the dealership, you didnt get one. Instead you got a nice empty gauge with a lense and a back plate that was basically just crosshairs. On the back of the cluster, there is a plate that is removable for putting in the clock.

This is my old and worn out cluster:

I also put in a water temperature gauge underneath the radio, the color of the lights also looks stock.

I plan on mounting a matching tachometer next to it.

If you would like to get some of these gauges, theyre "traditional chrome" by autometer:

Ive had good luck with summit. Theyre super fast with shipping too!

You know what would really look sweet is if you could use the center chrome **** on the new clock. It would give a nice balanced look with the rest of the gauges.

Although it may be a little big? Hmmm, well something to think about.

Yeah, I thought about doing that , but it would be way too big.

Also, the chrome center is attached to the old lense. I would have to cut it off.
