Default AOD Transmission Swap

I am considering over drive for the 67 mustang, seems AOD is an easy swap. If I did my research correctly it appears the gearing of the AOD is:
• First: 2.40:1
• Second: 1.47:1
• Third: 1.00:1
• Overdrive: 0.67:1
• Reverse: 2.00:1

I found a wiki article that claims the gear sets interchangeable between AOD/AODE & 4R70W who gear ratio is:
• First: 2.84:1
• Second: 1.55:1
• Third: 1.00:1
• Overdrive: 0.70:1
• Reverse: 2.23:1

I like these gears much more.

Anyone know of a good source to get a non-electronic AOD with a wide ratio like the R470W?

Thats all german to me but if it can be any help I am running 4.11's with stock aod config. Love it. it pulls nasty through 1, 2, and 3. when it shifts into OD it drops down quite a bit in rpms.

It would probably be cheeper to swap your rear gears which would achive the same result (unless you're rebuilding the AOD anyway). And, if you swap the rear to a much higher ratio (like 4.11), your result will be
MUCH better as reported by EZ above.
