Default no interior lights

Hi All

I started the interior today on my little 66 coupe, but before I pulled the instrument panel I figured I better make sure everythings functional, which it is for the most part. I have no interior lights. I was wodering if someone could help me trace the power side of the circuit. The fuse panel looks beat to hell as well. Some punk kid took the fuse box apart and "modified it " when he was young and foolish for a big stereo system. If I could go back I'd kick my *** for doing it. Thanks Ken

might just be the door switch. open the door, pull the switch out and bypass it. see if you get light from that. further when you turn your ligtswitch to the far left (over a stop) (orwas it fully right?) the interior lights should come on as well (no matter if door open or closed) so try that as well

I would bet the 7.5 amp dome light fuse is blown. Here is the location:

The interior light circuit is powered from two sources. In the wiring diagram listed above, circuit 53 and 54 are the ones you want to trace. It is a complicated circuit with multiple switches to turn on the same lights. Your best bet is get a multimeter and start tracing the circuit to each switch.

Your lights are all grounded right? I had that problem for all my interior lights especially the fronts since I had no idea they had to be grounded.
