1967 Mustang Progress
I haven't posted in quite awhile so here are some pictures of the progress so far.
New rear leaf springs, QA-1 single adjustable shocks and shackles:

Pulled the engine out:

Stripped the block down, it's now ready to go to the machine shop:

Various engine parts strewn about:

Driver's side front suspension removed. Pilot holes drilled for new upper control arms:

Global West lower control arm vs the old:

The rear of my control arm was blown out. I suggested each and everyone of you look at yours if you haven't already:

Global West upper control arm vs old:

Global West strut arm vs old:

This was the spring perch I pulled off, it doesn't even move. I have new ones ready for installation:

I haven't updated this thread in awhile. But some updates on my project:
*The block is in the machine shop. I am going with a mild stroker kit. I didn't go with the ful 4.250" stroke because I didn't want to create a drastic angle for my connecting rods. My bore as it turned out was original with some grooving in the cylinder walls. I am having Mark Jefferies of Trans Am Racing in LA build the engine for me. I'm no master at the craft and I'd rather rely in his experience. He has done several engine builds for magazines, like Mustang Monthly and Engine Masters. So I went with the 4.125" stroke with a .060 over stock [to get those grooves out the walls].
*For top end I am going to keep the vintage performance upgrade that someone put on the car: the Edelbrock Streetmaster 390 intake manifold. I'll use it for awhile then upgrade it later on. As far as heads, I'll most likly go with the Edelbrock Performer RPM. I was looking at other alternatives, but Edelbrock seems to have the edge of the market on heads for Ford FE engines. Blue Thunder makes some serious heads, but they are serious bucks!
*I am torn right now between going with a carburetor or with the Professional Products TBI style EFI system. If you haven't seen it, it looks like a Holley double pumper carb. If you haven't seen them, they are work a look:
http://www.professional-products.com/EFI_3.php
Considerably cheaper than the FAST Easy-EFI setup and I think it looks at least 10x better as well. I'm thinking on doing the returnless system in satin, product number: 70028.
*For exhaust I'm thinking on getting some Hooker long tube headers paired with the Magnaflow stainless steal tubes and mufflers. This sound isn't for everyone, but I think it sounds BAD+***!!

Cheers everyone! Thanks you for looking and I appreciate comments and suggestions...I'll get some photos up soon!

I would like to get some of those spring perches for mine.
I like the idea of keeping it carbed.
Good choice on Magnaflow. I think it would sound even better with an H pipe instead of the X.
