Default frame, floorpans, and torque boxes

I just got a rough estimate for the labor to get the frame, floorpans, and torque boxes replaced which comes out to roughly 4500-5000 for labor only, is that good for the amount of work or am i getting ripped off?[sm=pcwhack.gif] what can i save money on and do myself? i was going to do the floor pans but he said when he does the frame hes going to need to do the floor pans too because the frame needs them for support (need to be done all at once).

Think about it, you can get a COMPLETE car for that amount. If your body has that bad of cancer, you should find another rolling chassis, and graft the parts. Be cheaper, and you can detail EVERYTHING to your liking.

Not a fastback. They are getting harder and harder to come by.

68 coop, I do admit it is a lot of money but markstang1969 makes a good point.... i will attempt to look for one but if i dont is this too much (is it in the ballpark of what it should be)?

skiprCH, the frame is rusted pretty bad .... front to back ... i got a few estimates on how much it would cost to get them replaced. i would take on the challange myself but i think ill leave this to the pros.

get a second and possibly third estimate from another place i bet youd have 3 very different numbers...also have them quote you time...you dont want some **** for brains working on your car for months.
