ohhh....

with the car in park (not rolling) does it shake (vibrate) when you rev it up...if not continue reading.

1) does the vibration get continually worse as speed increases?

2) does the vibration ever get better as speed increase....bad at 65 but not so bad at 75?

It could be:
1) bent driveline (someone screwed up at the shop working on the trans)
2) wheel balance

need more info

yeah when i rev it up in park or nuetral it shakes i can feel it in the steering wheel if that helps, and when i go over 60 to 75 it shakes alot i but when i go below 60 to 50 the vibrating is less if none, i have the drive shaft with rubber at the front and rear of the shaft it that also helps.

I would look at the damper first. It sounds like you got the wong one. It could be the drive shaft but if it didn't shake before with the same drive shaft I would say that is not it.

Yeah sounds like damper to me too

You probably got the 50oz one

You need a 28oz one...

Check receipts and part part numbers...read listed balance factor for part number matching damper wheel you got....does it equal 28oz?

I agree with the above comments is the 302 original or a later year? could be they gave you a wrong damper or a bad drive shaft also check your motor mounts and transmission mount just n case.

i have a 69 302 block and the damper is 28oz profesional products #8006, i have good motor mounts and i just replaced my tranny mount with a new poly one, i am going to have my drive shaft checked to see if it needs to be balanced, could a bad torque converter do this, if it is out of balance?

now I blame the poly tranny mount ONLY IF it was fine before you added the mount.

However, checking the DS balance is also a really great idea..... except it vibrates in park...the DS does not spin in park therefore it can not vibrate..

The poly mount on the other hand will transfer vibration even in park.

If it's vibrating in neutral then it is not in the driveline. Does it misfire? A vacumn leak will make it shake or vibrate. The HB is something to definitely something to look at. Vac leak could be from a burnt valve or the carb not seating on the intake. I have been down the same road that you are on. I had a combination of several things. If it still does it while driving after you have taken care of the engine part of it, then look at balancing your tires or replacing them. You could have a broken belt.
