SHould i mount it inside the car or under the hood?

Under the hood. You don't want hydraulics inside the car. Ford put them on the fender apron below the LH hood hinge, except early 67 had them at the rear axle hose under the car.

ya. i put mine very close to the master cylinder. I have a dual master cylinder which feeds front and back seperately. So that's the easiest way to mount them and the best place.
You only want the thing in car if you like to change your brake proportion during a race, and I think even that is a stupid idea *g*

I'm not sure how often you would need to adjust it under normal driving conditions once it is adjusted. I put mine under the MC. Drilled and tapped the MC, made a bracket and ran the lines. I also attached my line loc for the front brakes while I was at it.

What is that master cylinder from? I want to build that same set up.

The master cyl. is from a '94-'95 Cobra. It came with my 13" Baer brakes which will be non power assisted. Their catalogue lists two different sizes for that master cyl. The manual brakes should run the smaller .9375" bore while the power asst. would run the larger 1.00" bore. I only wish that the outlet ports were on the opposite side of the cyl. I thought about drilling and tapping the ports myself but I would have to completely disassemble the brand new unit. FYI, they are metric threads but this would not be a problem.

I'm using a 96 Explorer master cylinder which is virtually identical but the ports do come out the other side (to clear my valve covers).
