66 mustang v8 conversion.
Hi, i was wondering if anyone could tell me if I could use parts off of a 66 f 100 to complete a v8 conversion in my 66 coupe I6. parts like the rear end brakes, or anything else you could tell me. i assume the motor tranny would be just fine but i was wondering about maybe using the drive shaft or basically as many parts as i possibly could pull off the truck for my mustang.
Thanks, any advice would be appreciated.

I don't think you're going to find many parts that change over without modification. The rearend would have to be narrowed, driveshaft shortened, etc.
Your best bet is to find a parts car and scavenge everything you can off of it.

im pretty sure it does work. an exploder rear also will fit. in the fox you just need to change the axles to 5 lug, you can use 2 ranger axles to do this.. i dont remember which side but you do need both of one side
The 8.8 Fox axle is almost right, once you put the spring perches on it. You'll have to get the Ford 5-bolt axle and drum kit to put V8 wheels on it, though. Easier and cheaper to get a 65-66 8" V8 rear, though.
