LOLZ tcrote u funny man, sounds like a good plan to me. Better yet just pull off the plug wires on that side and leave them off. A V8 will run perfect on just one bank. Seriously pull all the plug wires off one side and try it, itll run like a top, just low on power.

Doesn't mean everyone grabs a spark plug socket.

A spark plug socket comes with just about every starter set of sockets. Even the ones made in China. This is the perfect thread to demonstrate the virtues of using a spark plug socket on spark plugs. I reallize that doesn't help him now though.

Tried to use a spark plug socket on my son's Falcon today, it would not fit.

The spark plug was too damn close to the machined recess in the Pro Comp heads that I gave him a while back. We had to use the thinnest wall 5/8" socket I could find, and even then it was a tight fit. I really think that there isn't a 6 point socket made that will do the job on these heads.

Irony......

i thought you sold the procomp heads, but i know what you're saying. i once came along heads where only one socket would fit. it was in my toolbox for around 20 years and i'm delighted i never lost it

I was going to sell them, but it worked out that Mitch was looking to replace the 6 in his Falcon.

The car runs good with these heads, actually damn good....

And it is nice to have the right tools, even when it is by chance...

Could use a dremmel to clean up the rust off the outside of the plug, put some edges on there for bite and retry the J-B weld over and over. If you plan on rebuilding the motor anyway though, I'd just pull it all and have the machine shop drill it out so you don't risk damaging the head (if you plan on reusing the stock heads that is). Might want to chase the threads before you install new plugs too.

Thanks for all the helpful posts guys. sorry i havent been replying but been out of town for the past week. I decided to go ahead and pull the motor and rebuild it. I was planning on doing it in the future anyway so now i am just doing it sooner than planned. I did try all of the ideas that were thrown out but just had no luck. After i got the engine out i was able to get the plug out but it was not easy even then. that sucker was stuck good but it dosent look to have been crossthreaded. Thanks again everybody.
