My younger son used a 3 row Champion radiator with a FLEX FAN in his 302 powered Falcon, it never gets close to hot.
My 66 289HP has AC, and doesn't overheat, even though it's bored .030 over. It has a 3-row brass radiator, and stock 7-blade thermal clutch fan.

Well ,today I went around the block about 7 times. I left my thrmometer probe in between a set of fins. The temps were from 150 to about 170 on avg. The temp gauge reached the begining of the " P " in TEMP. I pulled into the garage and the let is sit for a few min. The temp rose to 185 and when I shut it down, it rose to 191. So I think the air passing through the radiator was dropping the readings on the probe. So the tempature may really not have been as low as i thought. I also lost another quart of coolant.
